Neural Radiance Fields
3D RECONSTRUCTION

Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) is a cutting-edge technique that leverages deep neural networks to generate highly detailed 3D models of objects and scenes from 2D images.
One of the main advantages is its ability to capture fine details and complex lighting effects that are challenging for other methods to reproduce.
NeRF also has the ability to handle transparent materials, which are commonly found in real-world objects but are difficult to model using traditional methods.
NeRF has broad applications in fields such as virtual and augmented reality, gaming, and film production.
What is it ?
Potential applications in inspection
Since NeRF works best on small to medium size objects, it could be used for element specific 3D reconstruction (Columns for example), where a closer look at the element is needed, i.e. making measurements, checking for cracks and steel work inspection.
